What is PaperChord?

PaperChord is a program for guitar players who wants to notate chords and chord-progressions.

Is PaperChord a program for me?

Perhaps you are a jazz guitar player who wants to write out the progression of a Real Book song.

What can PaperChord do?

PaperChord is a desktop publishing tool for guitar players. You can create chord-progression documents in standard notation on a staff:

Note, that this is a screen shot, the printed document is a high quality print that is only limited by the resolution of your printer.

PaperChord provides an easy readable open file format named OMNL. The Open Music Notation Language OMNL is a tag oriented paper description language similiar to HTML. It is a ascii text file that can be read on almost any computer. You can manipulate your documents with an text editor or even extend this language with your own tags and use it for own applications.
